ABOUT
My mission is to build confidence in technology by making complex concepts practical, approachable, and hands-on, and to help the next generation develop the skills they need to pursue meaningful careers in technology. I believe anyone can learn and master technology, including AI and emerging technologies, when they are given the right guidance, opportunities to practice, and encouragement to keep learning.
I am an Adjunct Professor of Computer Information Systems at El Camino College, where I teach Web Development and Office Applications. I also serve as a STEM Instructor with Concorde Education, leading interactive after-school programs in Digital Animation and Computer Coding. Alongside teaching, my research at West Los Angeles College applies machine learning and statistical modeling in R to analyze complex ecological data.
Before transitioning into higher education, I spent more than a decade working across software engineering, cybersecurity, systems architecture, data, and operations management. At the U.S. Census Bureau, I supported the Economic sector through architecture consultations, web application development, and automated security testing using HP WebInspect. At Infologics Corporation, I progressed from Software Engineer to Operations Manager, leading the engineering and maintenance of a mission-critical system for the U.S. Department of Transportation that processed millions of vehicle importation records while supporting regulatory compliance and continuous operational performance.
My work has always been at the intersection of technology, people, and practical problem-solving. I am particularly interested in how AI, data, and emerging technologies can be applied to solve real-world problems, improve systems, and create better learning opportunities. Whether I am developing a system, analyzing data, exploring AI applications, teaching a student, or improving a technology process, I enjoy turning complex challenges into solutions that people can understand and use.
